    1.Why did the people of the country called that disease the Red Death?
    They called it the Red Death because it let the body and face of the victim covered with blood.

    2. Who did continue enjoying life despite the Red Death?
    The one who continued enjoying life was Prince Prospero.

    3. Where did Prince Prospero live?
    He lived in a wonderful and enormous castle in the countryside.

    4. Whom did he invite?
    He invited a thousand of his friends.

    5. Why did people go there?
    They went there to escape from the Red Death and to amuse themselves without worrying about it.

    6. Why did they lock themselves?
    They locked themselves because they wanted to avoid being infected with the disease.

    7. How much time did they spend there?
    They spent there five or six months.

    8. What did Prince Prospero celebrate?
    He celebrate an amazing masked ball.

    9. In how many rooms did the ball take place? How were they decorated?
    The ball took place in seven different rooms. They were decorated in different colours: blue, purple, green, orange, white, violet and black. They all had a soft illumination. The last one had red coloured windows.

    10. What was standing in the black room?
    In the black room there was a big black clock.

    11. What happened every hour?
    Every hour the clock chimed, the music stopped and the guests stopped dancing with their hearts full of fear.

    12. How were the guests dressed like?
    All the guests wore masks and cloaks chosen by the Prince Prospero himself. They all looked like a nightmare.

    13. Why did nobody enter the black room?
    They didn't enter the black room because they were afraid of it.

    14. Who appeared at 12 o’clock?
    At 12 o'clock a stranger appeared. Someone that wasn't invited.

    15. Why were the guests so afraid of him/her?
    They were really scared because this “person” looked like the Red Death.

    16. What did the Prince order?
    He ordered to catch him/her and take off his mask.

    17. Who was the first one to die?
    The first one to die was Prince Prospero.

    18. What was inside the “costume” of the stranger?
    There was nothing inside it.

    19. Who was actually the stranger?
    The stranger was actually the Red Death itself.

    20. When did the last person die?
    When the clock stopped chiming.

    Hi Sandra,
    my favourite Poe's story at the moment is The Masque of Red Death, because this one for me is the most interesting and exciting of the three that I read. And I've to say that I did not expect this end, I was surprised when they took of the mask and the costume and they didn't find anything down it.

    Edgar allen Poe is surely a great Writer!
    He has always convinced me to follow his trail and walk on his steps!
    In those sickened humorous stories of him i always found something worth fighting for, A lesson for betterment of life!
    That's why!
    I wont mention a particular story of him ! Because i cant!
    If you read his true writings! (Unedited version) Which have rich vocabulary and pointy english! You'd fall in love too!
